Privacy policy

Effective 20 October 2026; contact details and domain updated 21 October 2026. Organization: Marc-André Léger, sole proprietor, Montréal, Quebec.

Person in charge of the protection of personal information

Marc-André Léger, sales@cyberriskguardian.ca. Write to this address with any question, access or correction request, or complaint.

What we collect

Emails and quote requests: your name, email address, organization and the content of your request, to answer you and prepare a quote.

Online purchases: Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record, collects and processes payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive from Paddle your name, email, country, the product bought and the order status; we never receive your card details.

Access to paid editions: the GitHub usernames of Authorized Users, to give them access to the private repository for the term of the licence.

What the software does not collect

CyberRiskGuardian plugins and the desktop app run on your computer or in your AI platform account. They send us no data and contain no telemetry. Hosted services, when you use them, receive only the queries you submit, solely to provide the service.

This website

cyberriskguardian.ca uses no advertising cookies or tracking tools. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and, on checkout, Paddle's checkout script, which passes your IP address to those providers. It remembers your language choice in your browser's local storage. Videos are hosted on YouTube: nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play, and the player then uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), under Google's privacy policy.

Use, disclosure and retention

We use this information only to answer your requests, manage your licence, provide support and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell it. We disclose it only to Paddle (payment) and GitHub (access), which may process it outside Quebec. We keep licence records for the term of the licence and the period tax law requires, then destroy them.

Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by writing to sales@cyberriskguardian.ca. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
